Location. Resembling a pagoda against the California sky, the Miyako Hotel is an anchor in San Francisco's ""Little Osaka."" This venerable hotel is surrounded by dozens of sushi bars, specialty restaurants and shops. St. Mary's Cathedral is only two blocks from the hotel property, and other nearby attractions include Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf and the Moscone Convention Center, which are all less than two miles away.
Hotel Features. The Miyako Hotel's parking lot is disguised as a rock garden, with bonsai-trimmed pines and a cobblestone driveway. Rock-lined gardens with koi ponds provide meditative retreats, and the lobby displays large gold-trimmed platters that illustrate Japanese landscapes, based on classic Hiroshige prints.
